The final weekend of the 2023 XFL season is this weekend, with all four games featuring potential playoff implications. Saturday at 12:00 PM on ESPN, the cellar-dwellers of the XFL South travel to face a team that’s struggling to clinch a playoff berth.
Orlando Guardians @ St. Louis BattleHawks
- Point Spread: Guardians +9.0, Battlehawks -9.0
- Moneyline: Guardians +280, Battlehawks -360
- Over/Under: O48.0
The Battlehawks are 6-3 and are favored by a commanding 9 points in the spread. However, St. Louis needs a win and a loss by the Seattle Sea Dragons to secure a Wild Card spot in the 2023 XFL Playoffs.
If both Seattle and the Battlehawks win in Week 10, a tiebreak will occur. The league has not announced what that tiebreak procedure will be and will only do so in the event that the XFL needs to.
Concluding Saturday’s XFL schedule at 3:00 PM on ABC, the top team in the league travels to San Antonio to go up against a 3-6 Brahmas squad that is still clinging to playoff hopes heading into Week 10.
DC Defenders @ San Antonio Brahmas
- Point Spread: DC -3.0, Brahmas +3.0
- Moneyline: DC -150, Brahmas +130
- Over/Under: 42.0
The Defenders have the XFL North locked up and will host a playoff game next weekend, no matter what happens against San Antonio. A Brahmas win and an Arlington loss would create a tie for second place in the division, causing for another potential tiebreak to be called by league officials.
What’s bizarre is that San Antonio is 3-6 and has a chance at the postseason. Also strange is that Arlington can clinch a playoff spot with a 5-5 regular season record. Betting on the Defenders is risky because they may rest their starters in preparation for the playoffs.
Sunday at 3:00 PM on ESPN, a battle of a team that has their division locked up versus a franchise that can secure a Wild Card spot with a win will begin.
Houston Roughnecks @ Arlington Renegades
- Point Spread: Houston +1.0, Arlington -1.0
- Moneyline: Houston -105, Arlington -115
- Over/Under: 41.5
As mentioned before, the Renegades need the win to get into the playoffs. If Arlington wins, they’ll face Houston again in the playoffs. The Roughnecks have already won the XFL South and will host a playoff game next week, regardless of the outcome of their Week 10 game.
The final contest of Week 10 and the XFL regular season schedule goes down at 7:00 PM on ESPN2.
Vegas Vipers @ Seattle Sea Dragons
- Point Spread: Vegas +8.5, Seattle -8.5
- Moneyline: Vegas +290, Seattle -380
- Over/Under: 47.0
The Vipers have already been eliminated from the playoffs, but they have the chance to play spoiler if they can hand a loss to the Sea Dragons, who need the win to stay alive. If both Seattle and St. Louis lose, they would remain tied for second place in the XFL North, forcing a tiebreak.
The XFL futures list Seattle above St. Louis by 50 points at Bovada. That could be due to their points advantage in their two head-to-head games this season. In Week 2, STL won 20-18. In Week 9, Seattle won 30-12.
Whether you’re betting on the Seattle Sea Dragons or the Battlehawks, there is still plenty of time before their respective Week 10 games kick-off.
