The 2024 UFL schedule begins on March 30th, and that’s just over three weeks away until pro football returns to American television screens. Another anticipated return is football betting odds for all United Football League teams.
None of the top online UFL betting sites have produced game lines or futures as of this writing. In preparation for these upcoming UFL odds, we’ve created a set of football futures to give readers a glimpse into who the early favorite could be.
2024 United Football League Futures
- Birmingham Stallions +350
- Arlington Renegades +400
- D.C. Defenders +425
- St. Louis Battlehawks +450
- Houston Roughnecks +600
- Memphis Showboats +850
- Michigan Panthers +1200
- San Antonio Brahmas +1400
We are projecting a UFL Championship Game where the Birmingham Stallions beat the Arlington Renegades. These are the two respective USFL and XFL champions from last season, but they each traveled very different roads to get there.
The Stallions dominated throughout the 2023 USFL season, whereas the Renegades finished 4-6 and were lucky to make it to the XFL Playoffs. Still, under the tutelage of head coach Bob Stoops, we expect the Renegades to parlay last year’s title into a hot start in 2024.
2024 USFL Division Futures
- Birmingham Stallions +150
- Houston Roughnecks +350
- Memphis Showboats +550
- Michigan Panthers +800
Naturally, since we’re projecting the Stallions to win the UFL Championship, we are also favoring them to win the USFL Division and earn the top seed in the playoffs. That advantage grants them the right to host the championship game at their home stadium, where they’ll most likely host the Houston Roughnecks.
2024 XFL Division Futures
- Arlington Renegades +250
- D.C. Defenders +350
- St. Louis Battlehawks +400
- San Antonio Brahmas +750
Our projected odds for betting on the XFL Championship favor the Arlington Renegades, but the D.C. Defenders are within reasonable striking distance. The only seemingly sure thing regarding these four teams is that the San Antonio Brahmas are not expected to be competitive in 2024.
That’s largely based on their lackluster roster and poor performance from 2023. One reason to be optimistic and consider betting on the Brahmas is that they have a new head coach.
Defensive specialist and former NFL head coach Wade Philips has taken the helm in San Antonio, replacing Hines Ward after only one season. Philips had been the coach of the Houston Roughnecks, but when that franchise combined with the USFL’s Houston Gamblers, Wade was the odd man out.
The Roughnecks retained CJ Johnson, the former coach of the Gamblers, which left Philips without a gig until he was reassigned to San Antonio. With only four teams in the XFL Division, making the playoffs merely requires finishing among the top two.
Don’t be shocked if Coach Philips causes a turnaround in San Antonio, but it could take another year because the remaining three XFL teams are expected to repeat their 2023 excellence.
