Defenders vs. Panthers: UFL Championship Odds Flipped After Stallions Loss

The 2025 UFL Championship teams have been confirmed; the Michigan Panthers will take on the DC Defenders in St. Louis on Saturday, June 14th.

This will be the first year that the Birmingham Stallions have not made the Championship game, dating back to before the XFL and USFL merger. The Stallions had been on a dominating streak after winning the 2025 UFL Championship and the 2023 and 2024 USFL Championships. Even with a better overall record (7-3) than the Michigan Panthers (6-4), the Stallions will be forced to watch the game from the sidelines.

Going into Championship weekend, the Panthers open with favorable odds to win the competition. Below are the current odds for the 2025 UFL Championship game.

DC Defenders vs. Michigan Panthers (Bovada)

  • Spread: +3.0 (-110), -3.0 (-110)
  • Win: +135, -160
  • Total: O49.5 (-115), U49.5 (-105)

Panthers vs. Stallions

The Michigan Panthers had arguably the hardest road to the championship, having to defeat the 2024 UFL Champions, the Birmingham Stallions. While most XFL betting sites favored the Panthers to win the USFL division, no one thought the game would have been as lopsided as it became.

The final score was 44-29 after Panthers running back Toa Taua had a career day with three total touchdowns. In a post-game interview, Taua told fans never to give up and to chase any dream.

The Panthers secured their first USFL Championship with their win over the Stallions. The Panthers will try to carry that momentum into the UFL Championship game.

Defenders vs. BattleHawks

All eyes were on the BattleHawks after they lost the XFL Championship game in 2024. However, history repeated itself, and the Hawks ended their season just one game away from the championship game, again. With the UFL Championship game set to take place in St. Louis, fans are disappointed that their team will not take the field.

The Defenders won the game 36-18 and locked their team into the Championship competition. The Defenders (6-4) finished second in the XFL division behind the BattleHawks (8-2). However, the team won when it mattered and advanced to this year’s championship competition.

Betting On The UFL Championship

UFL fans have two options for betting on the championship games: domestic and online sportsbooks. The state of Missouri, which will host the UFL Championship, has authorized state-licensed sportsbooks, but at the time of this writing, no local sportsbooks are operating in St. Louis.

Fans looking to bet on the Michigan Panthers or the DC Defenders will likely have to wager online, as online sportsbooks from out of the state have been accepting bets from Missouri players since the early 2000s.
