2025 UFL Update: Schedules Drop, Google Analytics Partnership, And New Headquarters

The United Football League front office has been busy as we’ve crossed into the new year. Schedules have been announced, new corporate partnerships have been entered, and a lease has been signed that marks the relocation of the league’s headquarters.

2025 UFL Schedules

The schedules for all eight UFL franchises, plus the UFL Playoffs, has been posted at the league’s official website. The regular season will run for ten weeks, beginning March 28th and wrapping up on June 1st.

Both the USFL and XFL Championship Games are scheduled for June 8th, with the league championship happening on June 14th.

Regular season games will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, FOX, and FS1.

New Head Coach And GM In Memphis

The Memphis Showboats have hired a new head coach and general manager for the 2024 UFL season. After last season’s 2-8 finish, the league terminated head coach John DeFilippo and has replaced him with Ken Whisenhunt for 2025.

Whisenhunt brings over two decades of NFL playing and coaching experience to the Showboats sidelines.

General Manager Bill Polian stepped down after the 2024 season, giving way for Memphis to hire Jim Monos, former director of player personnel for the Buffalo Bills.

Partnership With Google Analytics

On Thursday, the UFL revealed a new partnership with Google Analytics to provide data analysis via Google Cloud. Branded tools like Gemini, Looker, and Big Query will be utilized to enhance fan experiences and to expand the league to new audiences.

“Innovation from a business and football standpoint is a cornerstone of our league as well, and this collaboration provides us with the framework to build upon those innovations…”

UFL President and CEO Russ Brandon

Time will tell if these tactics will help improve their overall viewership. In 2024, the league averaged 816,000 viewers per regular season games.

New UFL Headquarters In Arlington, Texas

Yesterday, the United Football League announced a move to a new headquarters located at 1401 Nolan Ryan Expressway in Arlington, Texas. This places the UFL headquarters within a few blocks of Arlington Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, and Choctaw Stadium, which is where the Arlington Renegades play home games.

The league plans to move into the complex early this year, but it is not clear if that will happen before the season debut on March 28th.
