The United Football League (UFL) will begin its sophomore season following the conclusion of the 2024-25 NFL season. This offseason, several standout players from the merger league have been signed to NFL squads.
For the 2023-24 season, the XFL and USFL merged to form the popular UFL. While both the XFL and USFL had good seasons on their own, it became apparent that fans wanted more, and a joint league was pitched.
For a first-season “new” football league, the UFL did great numbers with television. However, as the season progressed, it became apparent that the league needed more community support to fill the stands. This year, the teams will focus on more community-based events to draw up support and hopefully fill seats at the stadiums, making the fans an integral part of the league’s growth.
Below, we will discuss some of the offseason moves involving UFL players and how you can bet on the upcoming UFL season.
NFL Deals
The NFL has already signed several key players from UFL squads. Below, we will give quick details concerning the few offseason signings of former UFL players.
- Los Angeles Chargers – Luis Perez, the former QB from the Arlington Renegades, was signed to the Los Angeles Charges as a fifth-string quarterback. While Perez will likely get cut, his signing proves the NFL is watching.
- Arizona Cardinals –Delonte Hood, a defensive back from the Arlington Renegades, was also signed by the Arizona Cardinals this offseason. His performance in the 2023 UFL season made him a sure bet for any team needing help in the secondary.
- New Orleans Saints—Mike Rose was signed to the New Orleans Saints. Rose was a linebacker for the St. Louis Battlehawks in 2023 and had a good year leading his squad to the playoffs. The Saints have been facing numerous injuries this offseason, which led to Rose’s signing.
The NFL preseason has just begun, and as teams make roster cuts, some players who don’t make the team will either find themselves on the practice squad or on a UFL roster.
Betting On The 2024 UFL Season
US Players can legally bet on the XFL, USFL, and UFL with offshore sportsbooks that operate outside the country. Since only a handful of states offer sports betting services online, many players will look elsewhere, given that there are no local laws that forbid them.
The online sportsbooks in our reviews section all have UFL game lines and sometimes feature future odds. Online sports betting sites will accept players over the age of 18 but ask that they abide by local gambling laws.
